Living the Abundant Life

If we are just a believer, we are living below our privilege—we need to be enjoying the abundant life. Abundant means—rich, plenty, abounding, teeming overflowing. For this life to be abundant, what do we need? Resources. Where does an unlimited supply of come from? Those resources come from Jesus Christ the Son of God. He said in John 15:5, “I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” To possess this fuller life, the believer must abide in Him.
This abundant life isn’t for just a few—it is God’s desire for all believers. It is a spiritual life in DEPTH and without it, the Christian life becomes inane and meaningless.

What happens if we don’t have abundant life within us? We yield to the fleshly life around us. (I Corinthians 3:1-3) The fleshly life is circumstance-controlled. The fleshly Christian life leads to defeat. Whereas, the abundant life leads to victory in Christ. Man seems to know everything about life except how to live it abundantly.

We need to take a stand and be determined not to be satisfied with anything less than what God has offered us—the best. Living life abundantly is not necessarily health and wealth, it is living in continual dependence on our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. (Philippians 4:13 and Proverbs 17:22)
